写实油画从欧洲古典主义开始，历经伦勃朗、委拉斯开兹等西方大师，到后来俄罗斯的列宾、苏里科夫、谢洛夫，美国的安德鲁·怀斯等绘画巨匠，他们对推动世界写实主义绘画的发展产生了重要影响。中国写实绘画从徐悲鸿开始将19世纪法国和苏联古典绘画技法和理念引入国内，创立以“学院派”为基础的新古典主义风格至今，一直在坚持学院传统的油画之路。
Since the European classicism, the development of realistic painting has been significantly influenced by the western painting masters such as Rembrandt Van Rijn, Velazquez, and later Russia artists Ilya Yafimovich Repin, Vasili Ivanovich Surikov, Valentin Alexandrovich Serov, and American artist Andrew Wyeth. While Chinese realistic painting begun with Xu Beihong who had introduced the 19th century French and Soviet Union classical painting techniques and concepts into China and established the neo-classical style basing on “academic painting”. Till today, Chinese realistic painting still inherits the style of academic painting.

Throughout the history of Chinese art, the artistic heritage and context of realistic painting has been fully distinct and vivid. Along with art historians continued to understand the art context, those realistic painting artists who have undergone environmental challenges has begun to grow and strive to accept academic value of judgment.
in this exhibition represent the 1970-80’s generations of young artists. They inherit and carry forward the fine traditions of realistic painting as in maintaining the traditional techniques and study of classical patterns. Some of them have spontaneously established painting organizations including “New Classical Painting Association”, “80’s Painting Union” and “New Figurative Oil Painting Salon” for the purpose of mutual support, academic communication and progressive development.

写实绘画作为推动中国美术史发展的重要组成部分，是一种现实思想的表现，中国当代绘画艺术需要借鉴写实绘画的优良传统，来保持中国文化的独特性，写实绘画也要解放思想，告别古典情结，介入中国当代文化。写实绘画从来都有机会用具体的表达方式来说明对生活的理解和看法，问题在于我们要如何去关注当代人的生存状态和内在的精神情感以及复杂多样的社会生活，这也是本次实验性展览力求去研究的课题和探索方向。
Realistic painting as an important role in the development of Chinese art history that reflects a realistic thinking. To preserve the distinctiveness of Chinese culture, Chinese contemporary art shall embrace the fine tradition of realistic painting. Meanwhile, realistic painting shall consider a breakthrough and participate in the Chinese contemporary culture. Realistic painting illustrates the understanding of life by using a figurative expression, the focus is to pay attention on the current living conditions and internal emotions of people as well as complex society, which is also the main subject and researching direction of this experimental exhibition.

谢尚晋，独立策展人/资深艺术品顾问，北京人民广播电台特约嘉宾，现任职于国内大型商业银行拥有艺术与金融硕士双学科背景，利用业余时间策划出品多个国内外专业展览帮助中青年艺术家与国内外的艺术交流。
